Ghost Sonata

a scene from The Ghost Sonata

The Ghost Sonata is a early 20th century play written by Swedish author August Strindberg. During the first week of December, 2001, director Karen Shefler and a cast of twelve actors presented The Ghost Sonata at the Shapiro Theater, New York City. For these performances Douglas Geers wrote a suite of short pieces for violin, piano, and electronics that were played live during the play by Mr. Geers and violinist Maja Cerar.
