This event will mark the first time that Lawrence D. “Butch” Morris and Walter Thompson, two highly innovative improvising bandleaders and composers, will share the stage and be featured in conversation.  Moderated by Prof. Chris Washburne, the two composers will dialogue about their work, philosophies, and important innovations in conducting, composing, and collective improvisation over their illustrious careers.
