The Columbia University Orchestra (Music Director and Conductor Jeffrey Milarsky) will perform its annual free spring concerts on Sunday Apil 7, 2013 (at Roone Arledge Auditorium in Lerner Hall) and Saturday, April 20, 2013 (at Miller Theater).  Both concerts feature the same program and are free and open to the public.

Program:

  • Pierre Boulez - Memoriale  (Rebecca Baehr, Flute)
  • Maurice Ravel - Ma Mere L'Oye -- Cinq Pieces Enfantines (Yoshiaki Onishi, Guest Conductor)
  • Johannes Brahms - Piano Quartet in G Minor, Opus 25 (Orch. Arnold Schoenberg)

In addition, the April 20th concert in Miller Theater (only) will feature a pre-concert lecture by Columbia University Professor of Music Walter Frisch, beginning at 7:15PM
