Sean Hallowell

Currently serving as Lecturer in the History and Literature of Western Music at the University of California, Berkeley, Sean Russell Hallowell wrote his dissertation on the metaphysics of compositional tradition in European music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. A composer of sample-based music, his works have been showcased by such organizations as The Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States, The New Music Conflagration, Inc., and Vox Novus.
