This version fixes the buffer-playing bug we encountered at the
end of class last week.
In class we discussed FM synthesis and also looked at examples of
using RTcmix
PFields
for control information. We also looked at how to play back sounds from
disk and from buffers, and now that all works! Yay!
older class syllabus
-- in fact, that whole semester was dedicated to synthesis and
signal-processing techniques. Check out the individual topics
for links.
Some of you had asked about older versions of the XCode tools. I found them
on Apple's site, but they don't make it easy. Plus the older versions
may or may not have support for iOS development.
Here's what you need to do if you want an older version:
1. Go to Apple's Developer Site
and click on "Member Center" (top right-hand side) to login with your
Apple Developer ID.
2. Then go to connect.apple.com --
it will cycle through several WebObject URLs and should land you at
a page that says "Downloads & ADC Program Assets".
3. Click on the "Developer Tools" link under "Downloads" on the right-hand
side of the web page. Scroll down on the page that this takes you to and
you will find the older XCode Tools for download. Each one is about
1 GByte, so it will take awhile to download them.
