andraudio -- A discussion list for Android audio developers
About andraudio	English (USA)
The andraudio mailing list is a community discussion list about Android audio development at both application and system level. That means development using Android's Java audio API, native C/C++ bridged to Java, and Android's implementation of OpenSL ES as well as Android audio platform internals. We intend that the list will cut accross the strict separation between user space and system development adopted by the various official Android lists. We are here to discuss ideas and to help each other. Everyone is welcome. Please feel free to introduce yourself. We have a companion Wiki and source code repository at http://code.google.com/p/andraudio/ The wiki is meant to host various experiments and audio code examples related to audio on Android, as well as document high and low level aspects of the audio stack. This is not an official Google list. Please use the official Android developer forums if you wish to contact Google developers. If you're interested in Audio software development in general you may want to visit the musicdsp mailing list, or the comp.dsp newsgroup (browse on the web here). There are communities of Java audio and music developers at the JSyn mailing list (for JSyn), and the HMSL mailing list). You might also be interested in the Linux Audio Developers mailing list, or the PortAudio cross-platform audio API mailing list. Using andraudio
To post a message to all the list members, send email to andraudio@music.columbia.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to andraudio
Subscribe to andraudio by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
