Magdalena Stern-Baczewska (Director, MPP) recently presented a lecture "Influence of Polish folklore on the music of Chopin and Szymanowski" to the Chicago Area Music Teachers Association, as well as a piano master class at the New Music School, and a solo recital at the Pianoforte Foundation in Chicago. She gave a solo recital and piano master class at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC, before returning to Chicago for a performance at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, commemorating Polish Independence Day. On November 16th, Baczewska will perform at Columbia
University's Italian Academy.
