Lauren Ninoshvili earned the PhD in ethnomusicology in 2010. Her doctoral dissertation, advised by Prof. Fox,  is entitled "Singing Between the Words: The Poetics of Georgian Polyphony."  In 2012-2014, she was an ACLS New Faculty (Postdoctoral) Fellow in Music at New York University. She has been an adjunct assistant professor of music at Barnard College and is Adjunct Associate Research Scholar in the Department of Slavic Languages.
