Yeah that was me.  On XP SP3 it didn't make them on first run and
threw an error.  I couldn't use explorer to create my .chiplotle
directory chiplotle was expected it, so i just made a "chiplotle"
directory and edited the shipped cfg.py file to reflect that change.
Still don't know why XP complains about the dot-directory name.

If you don't like the default location (it was trying to use the root
of where my windows profile was stored) you can create a windows
environment variable HOME that points to where you would like it.  I
didn't have a HOME var set previously but you might.

If that works, go ahead and make the sub-directory "output" (it will
fail to create that too) for virtual plotting.  I ran into further
issues with virtual plotting and posted my solution a bit ago (check
the list archives).
