Hello dorkbot-atl folks!

A few quick announcements:

1. NEXT DORKBOT MEETING:

Please update your calendars: the next dorkbot meeting has been moved
to Monday, Nov. 10th (still at 7 pm and in the Couch Building at
Georgia Tech). That meeting will feature Atlanta-based composer Darren
Nelsen speaking about his recent "12x60" project. We hope to see you
there! More details on this meeting are available at: http://dorkbot.org/dorkbotatl/

2. SONIC GENERATOR CONCERT:

You may also be interested in attending the upcoming concert by Sonic
Generator, Georgia Tech's high-tech chamber-music ensemble-in-
residence. Among the works on the program is Tristan Perich's
Observations, a composition for two crotales players and custom-built
circuitry which generates 6-channel, 1-bit audio for the performance.
The free concert takes place on Monday, Nov. 3rd at 8 pm at the
Georgia Tech Alumni House. Full details are at: http://www.sonicgenerator.gatech.edu

3. GEORGIA TECH CENTER FOR MUSIC TECHNOLOGY:

As a member of the dorkbot-atl mailing list, my colleague Gil Weinberg
and I would also like to invite you to attend the Launch Event for the
new Georgia Tech Center for Music Technology (of which Gil is the
director). The Event will take place Friday, November 7, 4:00-6:30pm.
It will include open house demonstrations, discussion and
performance. We would greatly appreciate it if you could join us for
the event where you will be able to see and interact with the latest
developments in music technology from faculty across campus. For more
information and registration: http://gtcmt.gatech.edu
