[dorkbotbmore-blabber] Care to join Dorkbot DC on a road trip?

All,

Some of you know of the Dorkbot DC's road trip 
this Saturday.  They are visiting Jim Sanborn's 
studio in St. Mary's county.  He's the artist 
that created many technical and cryptographic 
sculptures, including Kryptos at the CIA 
headquarters. (see 
http://www.elonka.com/kryptos/sanborn.html ).  I 
understand he'll show us his current project.

Yes, this is last minute, but the organizers 
didn't want to overwhelm Jim.  Some have had to 
cancel, making room for more.  Dorkbot DC's 
Alberto Gaitán is co-coordinating the trip and 
cook-out.  He asked that if you're interested 
please contact me first and I'll provide more details.

Here's some details for starters:

   Roadtrip date: Saturday 26 July 2008

   ETD: 9:30 AM, return time to be determined

   Destination: Jim Sanborn's studio in Piney Point, MD.

   Restrictions: Because of safety issues and 
liability, no minors (< 18y), please.

   Transportation: Provide own transportation, carpooling encouraged!

   Food: We'll be cooking our own lunch/dinner. 
Jim has two propane grills so we'll share those; 
you're welcome to bring your own. We'll have to 
pack our own beverages, grillables, 
cutlery/plates, and tools. We'll divvy up these 
items up among ourselves in the next days.

   Other stuff: Jim suggests packing insect 
repellent and long sleeve shirts/trousers in case of bugs.


I'll be going and welcome fuel-sharing-riders!  I live near BWI in Linthicum.
