Wow, lots of avenues to pursue.  This should really get me started on

I have not bought the wii remote, since initially, I was only after  
the accelerometers.
On the landscape mapping, basically, I would like to end up with a  
grayscale image with the gradations representing distance. Initially,  
I'm interested in a range of about five to 100 or 200 feet.

Is there a better way to reply within a thread, or is this general  
posting the best way to carry on the conversation?  No complaints;  
just want to be sure I'm using all the tools you have here.  (There is  
probably an instruction sheet I should be looking at!)
