useful book, that I've used many times:<br><br>

The Microcontroller Application Cookbook by Matt Gilliland, list price
$30.<br>
It's not a project book, but a book giving detailed descriptions of
circuits and code (BasicStamp code, but you'll get the gist) addressing
all sorts of interfacing issues. This is Volume I and it covers
subjects like
<ul>
<li>input (switches (positive and negative logic), photocells,
thermistor, humidity, optoisolator input, 120VAC detection, etc.),
<li>output (LEDs, lamps, buffers, MOSFETs, optoisolator output, various
relays, DC motors and servos, AC motors, opamps, etc),
<li>expanding input/output lines, A/D and D/A conversions, buffering and
I/O protection, signal conditioning and so on.
</ul>It's a good book-- you can go as deep as you want. <br><br>
Volume II is valuable but I don't reference it as much as Vol.
