Oh crap, I just posted this to the listserv, didn't I? Everyone else: please disregard.<div><br></div><div>:(<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Fri, Feb 13, 2009 at 8:39 PM, David Hammond <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:reprogrammingart@gmail.com">reprogrammingart@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br>

<div><br></div><div>1. Are you a ham? I just passed my tech this month. Do you hang out much on either the Towson or Baltimore repeaters? My callsign is KB3SFU.</div>
<div><br></div><div>2. I checked out <a href="http://vees.net" target="_blank">http://vees.net</a> and read your resume and I was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction. I have recently installed "Tracks," a web based GTD app (<a href="http://getontracks.org" target="_blank">getontracks.org</a>). My lack of Apache / Firewall experience makes me apprehensive about forwarding a port on my router and opening up my Ubuntu server to use Tracks outside of my home. I'm sure I could "brute force" a solution via reading anything and everything, but right now I just don't have much time to dedicate to these tasks. (Perhaps once I "get some things done" I will!) In the interim, are you aware of any quick fixes for my dilemma? Some sort of easy-reader book or tutorial that covers the obvious security holes I need to lock down when running a public webserver?</div>
<div><br></div><div>I would be very appreciative of any suggestions you might have regarding this. I look forward to meeting you on the 17th!</div><div><br></div><div>-Dave</div><div><a href="mailto:reprogrammingart@gmail.com" target="_blank">reprogrammingart@gmail.com</a></div>

For the 2/17 meeting I have arranged to borrow and demonstrate a radio communication "Go Kit" from Baltimore County. This is a waterproof, shockproof container with the equipment required to set up a portable ham radio operations point in a matter of minutes anywhere. I will also have some information about joining up with Baltimore County Auxiliary Communications Service as a volunteer if anyone is interested.<br>
