In a different sort of vein I suggest movies where people get themselves out
of sticky situations through ingenuity.
I got the idea from this old blog
post:http://tiny.cc/wjdu2<http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2010/03/your_favorite_maker_scenesmacgyver.html>
.

I am in the comments there suggesting the film Karakum:

Others include:

-A team episodes
-Real Genius
-Manhatten Project
-F/X
-Eli Eli Lema Sabachthani

I also stumbled across this excellent (but only 2 min long) film:
