I'm guessing that participants bringing projects to the Maker Faire in
Austin would want to avoid all public transportation lest the wires and
"thingamajigs" would peg these pioneers as threats.

On the radio, I heard that she claims she was wearing her LED art to
attract the attention of a friend coming in on a flight...

Meanwhile, I was recently told by someone that they had flown
internationally from and back to the US with a full Leatherman pocket
tool (knife and all) that was accidentally left in a carry-on bag (not
realizing it until unpacking at home).  So much for security!
