Hello, folks. A reminder that RobotFest 2008 is on the 26th.

Dorkbot regular, and RobotFest 2008 organizer, Gary Mauler and his team 
have worked hard to organize it so see their website 
http://www.robotfest.com/ for more information. He had sent a PDF but 
our motherhship's mailman chokes on messages >40k.


On a related note, Adam Koeppel, Make:DC Co-guy-in-charge...for-now, is
setting up a Solar Speeder workshop at RobotFest 2008 and sends the
following plea:

"Make:DC (http://www.makedc.org) will be leading the BEAM Solar Speeder
building workshop at RobotFest (http://www.robotfest.com/) this year!
Make:DC needs volunteers with soldering skillz, robot making skillz, and
quite possibly nun-chuck skillz.

"We have a morning and an afternoon session where we will be supervising
kids in the assembly of Solarbotics Solar Speeder and Solar Engine robot
kits.  We need about 5 volunteers per session to help the kids solder
and double check that they are assembling the robots correctly.  We will
need your help from 9:30am to 3:30pm.  If you can only help for half the
day, or want to check out the fair for half the day, let us know, we can
still use your help!  Email meetings at makedc.org to volunteer!

"And if nobody volunteers, you can all kiss my shiny metal ass! ;)"
