[dorkbotdc-blabber] RFID basics

Hi Dorkbotters,

I was wondering if anyone had some good resources (books, links,
articles, etc..) about RFID? I'm trying to learn about it because I
want to use it in a few projects. Through some searching I've found
this really excellent article (a thesis paper by an MIT student) http://autoid.mit.edu/whitepapers/TAS-MSTHESIS-FINAL.PDF
which covers the basics (even including the eletromagnetic theory
stuff) and some RFID history. Speaking of history... Did you know
that RFID (in a basic form) has been around since WW2?! They used it
in friend-or-foe type systems to identify planes! Crazy.

Anyway, this seems like the forum to ping the collective noodle for
information on this topic. Any info you have would be helpful... one
specific area I have questions about is in hi-speed multi-channel RFID
systems... if that helps narrow criteria for the RFID gurus out there.

Thanks!
Brian
