Exactly.  It is not the overall length of the wire used for the antennae 
that is important; the loop size sets the frequency selectivity 
(resonance), and more loops get more power.  At least that's what I seem 
to remember from the olden days...  IANAEEBIPOOML (I am not an 
electrical engineer but I play one on mailing lists)
