A coworker just introduced me to openframeworks, a C++ toolkit that seems to
do some of the same things as Processing.

It seems pretty neat, and similar to an idea for a device I've been playing
with.  If anyone on the list has experience sourcing/using Hall Effect
sensors and wouldn't mind letting me pick your brain via email, I'd be much
obliged.
