I think this is a great idea- Jay Swift is making some progress in the  
local schools, too.  When we showed our RepRaps at RobotFest, the  
number if interested kids was amazing. This sounds like a great way to  
engage a whole new group of folks in DIY technology... Given the focus  
of the program on emerging technologies, the parallel to the personal  
computer
Industry in its DIY era in the 70s is pretty powerful.
