[dorkbotdc-blabber] OT: Scanning thousands of photographs

I am not sure if I've posted this question or not before. If I have I
appologize in advance.

I have several thousand photographs, ranging in age from 80 to 10 years
old and ranging in size from 1.5x1.5 to 8x10, and everything in between.

I've sorted them out by size and now I'd like to scan them.

I have a document scanner with feeder but the vast majority of the
photogaphs are too small.

I've looked at photo scanning services but they're pricy and I worry
about the handling of the photographs.

So I'm looking for a scanner with a feeder that can handle a wide range
of sizes.

The very large photographs aren't a big deal as I have the regular
scanner, but the scanner should be able to handle a large variety of
sizes, and be able to work in batches.

Can anyone recommend a scanner that would fit the bill, or baring that,
a scanning service they've used and can recommend?

Thanks,

- Serge
