Robot Fest is a free 1-day event for students of all ages and for those
with the unquenchable urge to create new, previously unseen forms from
lifeless electronics and mechanical parts of metal and plastic.
Starting 8 years ago we focused on the demonstration of robotic projects,
but more recently we have expanded into realms where technology is used
in any creative fashion. We want to encompass the hackers, hobbyists and
makers and those who are not content to sit back and watch yet another
screen, be it on a phone, handheld, laptop, desktop or wall-mounted
flat-panel. If you are inexplicably drawn to sites like

You may have correctly heard that Make:DC is hosting two workshops at the
Robot Fest The students and parents are building kits from
Solarbotics. Many thanks to Make:DC and Adam Koeppler!
We and he are looking for volunteers to help with the
workshops. If you only have a morning or afternoon open to
help, thats great! There's a morning workshop, 10am-noon and an
afternoon workshop 1pm-3pm. We'd prefer coverage both workshops,
but if you can only do one, that''ll be appreciated, too. You don't
need to bring any tools or supplies. Just contact Adam at
meetings@makedc.org. <br><br>
