Hey there everyone,
Well I'm sorry I keep missing all these cool demos and such, I'm out in Hagerstown and it makes staying in town sometimes difficult to catch these.
I am hoping that this collective group could help me with something, I need a parts source and maybe some information on how electronically control some gas.
I want to build a pryophone, as seen many places but here is where I saw it http://www.scribd.com/doc/266111/Steampunk-Magazine-Issue-1
I basically want to be able to control a propane gas jet that I can turn on and off with a button push.
On a button push, actuate a valve to turn on the gas and strike a spark to light the gas, it makes a noise in the tube, then closes the gas feed.
If I can get this to work with just switches, I will then move that too a more automated level with an Arduino or something like that.

I'm really new to this level of construction of things, so I'm hoping that if I am thinking about this wrong, then someone will push me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.

Shane Amerman
