I recently discovered that only a few weeks ago, a substantial book tutorial for beginning in Pure Data was published through the Music University of Freiburg in Germany. It actually looks very informative about Pure Data and synthesis overall, and I think it might offer a great platform to start poking around. Perhaps even with a study group, or a short introductory session at HacDC if people are interested.
