I have been trying to set them up for quite some time, and have failed to make them work. looked up on the web, forums, books, tutorials, a couple of people have tried to help me out but no luck. I replaced them with a one-way rf link network but its not doing exactly what I want... The point is that now I got a bit of funding and can afford professional assistance. The easiest will be to update the files into new Director version. I have more than 45 movies done. And then create a projector and be able to export some of the files as shockwaves. I know that not many people uses Director anymore...:( and I have been advised to find someone that can redo everything in Flash. 2- I also want to explore how working with a game developer we could translate these interactive love games into something more accessible to all, to create a new game experience that can be easily transported (as I want to do events) and that can be played online and offline. 3- I have developed this first level of the LOVE GAME and would like your feedback. Show up tomorrow or rsvp to reserve at openlabworkshops.org This summer, Openlab, the London-based open source art and technology collective, presents a series of in-depth summer workshops exploring creating and hacking media using free software and tools. Workshops will include both beginner and advanced instruction in such software as PureData, Processing, and SuperCollider, as well as using the microcontroller Arduino, Android programming, general sound hardware hacking, and more. For less than the cost of the cinema, you can gain some valuable skills using free software. Look for two workshop per month starting in September as we start holding them at Space studios, Hackney! Plus, we have a snazzy new website (and by "website" I mean url + image: http://openlabworkshops.org/ ) Keep up with workshops announcements by subscribing to the (very) low- traffic announcement list: http://lists.pawfal.org/listinfo.cgi/openlab-announce-pawfal.org ~=~=~=~Workshop #3~=~=~=~ When: Tuesday 25 August, from 6pm-10:30pm Where: The Roebuck pub (upstairs room), 50 Great Dover Street, SE1 4YG Nearest transport: 35, 133, 343, 21 buses, Borough Tube (Northern line) About 8 minute walk from London Bridge Station (Northern and Jubilee tube, rail, and bus station: 48, 47, 149 buses) Map: Cost: ?15 for the entire night, or per workshop (see below). How to pay: At the door, or via Paypal to be guaranteed a space (limited to 30 people per workshop). Please email reserve at openlabworkshops.org to reserve a space in any workshop. 1) Introduction to SuperCollider (part 2) with DanStowell - ?10 Dan will continue the introduction to SuperCollider, building on the basics to create reusable synths and use them in musical patterns, including pre-defined patterns and generative music. Depending on time and interest we may also look at other topics such as handling audio files. This 2-hour workshop is the second in a series of summer workshops, but if you weren?t at the first workshop then you?ll probably be OK to follow if you already have some experience of SuperCollider or if you?re already comfortable with programming languages. You?ll need a laptop with SuperCollider 3.3 or 3.3.1 installed (download). 2) Android Introduction - ?10 Rob Munro will take students through the install process of the development environment, Linux and Windows and are preferred, but the process should be similar on Mac as well. After the install we will looks at some the basics of android development, the android manifest file, Activities, Services & Databasing as time will allow. This will be a 2-hour workshop, some Java experience will be very helpful though not essential. An android phone will handy as well but the emulator is included in the install. _______________________________________________ news-l mailing list news-l at lists.nodel.org http://one.server1.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/news-l -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Available for ~$170. Another option is this: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/EU/en/products/WVC54GCA Which is cheaper, but looks like it would be much harder to work with (e.g. might be Windows only, Internet Explorer required, doesn't support automatic FTP). We welcome any women interested to come and join us for the morning at Watermans, and then we'll go for a pub lunch afterward to chew the fat/cud. For the past few years, Anab has worked on speculative projects around emerging technologies, to encourage debate on the different possible futures that may happen. As a designer, this genre of design fiction aims to impact our current day concepts by enabling us to think of directions in which our collective future is shaped. The power of 8 is collaborative project, 8 people from different walks of life work together to build a public conversation about their individual aspirations for a desirable future. Check out http://powerof8.org.uk for more details on the project. When/where etc... 27th September, 11.30am onwards...
