i helped my daughter's high school teacher clean out the equipment room 
by offering to dispose of the broken microscopes.

parts might be missing or broken, but since there are only 2-3 different 
models it is entirely possible that one could repair a large percentage 
of these by moving parts around.

or use the lenses or bases in projects of your own devising.

or sell as scrap metal to support your Arduino habit.

or weld into a giant burning man sculpture.

i don't care what you do with them, but if you do something cool, it 
would be nice to hear about it.

pick up as few or as many as you wish at my workshop on treasure island 
this week, Monday-Thursday. i'm here most of the day but you must 
arrange a meeting time beforehand.
