In case anyone has ideas of fun stuff to do with a large qty of
Electroluminescent wire, check out
your local Ikea -
As of lunchtime today, Edmonton had 2 pallets of packs of 10 metres of EL
wire with 12V inverter and
12V mains adaptor for 99p... ( near the checkouts, part of the Glanssa range
of xmas decs)

It isn't very bright, but the inverter can be overvolted to get more
brightness if you don't mind it
squealing a bit....
