Indeed: in particular look out for a "air activated solder dispensing
 unit", it's a weller pressure regulator with a foot switch that's very easy
to hack to an arduino I/O closing circuit, you don't even need a relay.

oh, and the icing on the cupcake:  they're located in jersey.  you

This is where mcmaster shines: it's national so it's close to wherever you
are.  When I was in Berkeley the storehouse that shipped was located in LA:
everything was next day.

If time is on your side, you might want to shop around once you find the
kind of part you like on McMaster: their speed and selection generally comes
at a slight premium.
