ScrapCycle -- Call for Submissions, (2008)<br>
<br>
ScrapCycle is currently seeking artists who work with scrap-material<br>
and need to collect a large amount of everyday items (e.g. bread tabs,<br>
plastic bags) for a current or upcoming project.<br>
<br>
ScrapCycle is an all-homemade-instruments show, an experiment in<br>
giving a scrap-material an exchange-value, an attempt to foster the<br>
local scrap-material exchange community, and a forum for art and music<br>
created from scrap-materials.<br>
<br>
Because it can be difficult for artists to gather sufficient scrap<br>
items for certain projects, ScrapCycle will donate event admission<br>
materials to local (NYC-area) artists. For each ScrapCycle, we will<br>
select one artist to sponsor by setting the price of admission to the<br>
material of that artist's choosing.<br>

To be considered for receipt of materials, please fill out the<br>
application (which can be found at<br>
