[dorkbotpdx-blabber] Where do you get parts?

Whenever I want to build something, there is a large energy barrier
assocated with getting part. I either have to weezle out of work long
enough to get over to Norvac, or try to put together an order to one
of the fine web based sources. Problem with ordering, is a) 5 cent
resistor, 5 dollars shipping (I balk at that) and b) combination of
short attention span and shipping.

Where do you get your parts? how much to do keep on hand? is there a
basic stuff level that you keep (and replenish)? I know that with
hardware (non-electronic) there is little more frustrating than
needing a specific screw/nail/bolt/piece of pipe and realizing that
you need one more trip our to get the 7 cent single part or your done
for the night as Home Despot just closed. Seems with electronics I am
always in this state.
