Alan,

No problem. There are some pretty varied folk who come out and if you come by more regularly you will probably find a less issues with noise to signal. And socializing and community are as important as geeking AFIK. The junk metaphor comes from an earlier discussion. 

Also you might want to subscribe or send through your subscribed email so that us moderators don't have to approve your posts.

Speaking of free geek has Jenn  weighed in on the space yet? I noticed her in on the recycled components issue. (related thought: The parts exchanges that we have been doing also will get more difficult if we went monthly. )

Don,

I didn't mean it as a slam to the group. It was just my impressions
from two meetings, some links to things to consider, and an offer to
volunteer and contribute. I'm sorry you consider it worthy of the junk
pile.


Aaron,

I notice Free Geek has hours that end at 7pm. Are they open to having
people there later than that? From their calendar, it looks like a
number of interesting groups are using the place.
