Backspace is a wonderful coffee shop/gallery/LAN gaming/chess/weirdo 
hangout in the Pearl/Chinatown (on NW 5th between Couch and Davis, right 
around the corner from Ground Kontrol and Someday Lounge and right 
across the street from a big flat parking lot [$]).

Free parking is a bit hard to come by in the early evenings, but it 
*can* be found.  Access to the bus mall is great, and the MAX is about 9 
blocks, and there is some form of bike rack kitty corner to the building.
