Yes!

Anything an Arduino can to the DorkBoard will look better doing and  
waste less space.

I would reccomend 4 rechargables rather than usb power and I think  
that there are some other people who are looking at this so I would  
expect that there will be some local mods to clean up the signal using  
an op amp or two.
