Solipsism? The human mind is only capable of knowing its own inputs?

Subject: [dorkbotpdx-blabber] AI question

Hey guys,

I'm trying to remember some AI thing I read a couple years back about a
theory that says that the way we learn stuff is only through sensory input
(our experiences and knowledge is entirely based on what we experience?).
Does this ring any bells? Anyone have a clue what I am talking about? I
can't remember it well enough to do a Google search, so any pointers are
appreciated.
