hell yeah! five of those would totally do the trick. i guess i'd have
to address all five via serial, which would take 10 pins of an
arduino. (i assume there's some library for Arduino that lets you
make a serial port out of any two pins plus ground, right? and
maybe that can be just one pin, since i'd only be writing. assuming
i never cause software flow-control to happen.)
but yeah: soldering SMT would be a bitch. but the PDF says there's
a DAP package and a QFM package too, no?
i can sort of imagine that this project could be a viable kit, if it was
cheap enough. i'm basically trying to turn a standard/cheapo Ikea
lamp into an intelligent information appliance -- a.k.a. 21st century
laval lamp, if you're cynical. if someone could spend $100 plus
$25 for the lamp at ikea, to have such a doodad wirelessly controlled
by their computer ... i dunno, maybe i'm the only person who'd buy
one but i think it's got potential.
