Not sure if my original message made it so here I go again, Ignore one of
the two posts if they both made it.
Hi y'all,
My names Marty, I've met a couple of you at the hand full of Dorkbot meet
ups I've been to in the recent past. Anyhow, I am absolutely stoked about
Techshop coming to Portland. That is of course if they are actually coming
to Portland proper. I echo the sentiment of many of you in feeling a little
bit uncertain about Techshop if they are located all the way out in
Hillsboro. And it certainly does not bode well that they have chosen
Hillsboro for their first meeting.I feel like this would be a real deal
killer for me. I am going to do my best to voice my opinion and make it
clear to them that they will loose me as a client if they do not take into
consideration commute times, convenience of access, and people not living in
in the 'burbs amung other things. I think that this will be our only
opportunity to really influence where Techshop is going to be located, so I
encourage all that can go to go, and not to hesitate in voicing your opinion
on the subject of location. Also, if anyone needs a ride from N or NE
Portland email me direct or give me a call at 503-849-5917, I'm planning on
leaving about 6 or so.
