[dorkbotpdx-blabber] My first dorkboard

Hmm, that doesn't sound good.

A couple of questions.

1) What platform are you running on?
2) Are you using the USB power or external?
3) Have you tried a different USB port on the computer?
4) Does it still lock up or have problems if you attempt to program the
Arduino board with the Arduino board not connected to the computer? (I.e.
just connected to the USB programming interface) This would isolate the
dorkboard from being the problem.

I don't have a dorkboard. I have an Arduino Duemilanove and ladyada's
boarduino so I'm not sure of the intricacies of the dorkboard. I meant to
buy one last night but after collecting all my other goodies, I totally
spaced it.

Don or someone else in the group can probably provide much more in depth
troubleshooting info. It sounds to me though that there is a high
possibility of the USB interface being the problem if it is locking up your
computer.

Crap.

Today, I was running programs and working for around an hour, and
suddenly everything stopped working. When I try to upload to the board
now, I don't get an activity light and the Arduino software freezes
up, sometimes stalling out my computer entirely. I am still getting
power, though.

Any thoughts?
