Well, I did miss the chance to come to the last meeting, shake some
hands and throw some ideas around. But, I feel like it would be
advantageous to use some of the built up enthusiasm to get a meeting
together of people who are showing initial interest. This will give us
a chance to bounce around some ideas, likely putting us in one of two
positions:

1) Something is still needed to get this thing started. (In which
case, we can figure out what that is and be more prepared for the next
Dorkbot meeting to discuss it and work out a solution).
2) We get enough figured out to be able go hunting for the right
lease. (At this point, we can use the next Dorkbot meeting as an
opportunity to discuss the next steps or how to enhance the start-up).

Either way, there is something gained. I really don't want to take the
momentum built up thus far and sit on it for a couple of weeks until
the next Dorkbot meeting. These kinds of things tend to go the way of
the New Year Resolution if you allow them to cool down. I'm trying to
get the essentials for starting laid out so that we can get just into
a space.

I'm certain everyone has some good ideas for long-term community
projects and I'm really excited to get going on these things too. It's
just important to not look too far into the future or else we forget
about what we need to do today. I definitely agree that there's plenty
of benefits to be had for the space and Dorkbot alike using mutual
strengths. In the meantime, I'm keeping a list of ideas in a safe
place to pull out when we're set to discuss how to implement them; and
I'd love it if other people had something like this too.
