Tinning makes a huge difference in my opinion.

As for copper I have been using scrap like the stuff a surplus gizmos  
so I don't know.

Again I will host a small group to walk through my process probably  
next saturday unless more people can make this one.

That way someone could document as we went in addition to getting most  
of the questions consolidated.
