i got there late and missed most of the information. i didn't find a
handout of their slides anywhere, maybe it's on-line.

i was a bit disappointed to find the place empty as well. all the
gear i'm most excited about wasn't there yet. but thanks for the
pizza!

also, i ended up having to drive because i got a late start.
driving to beaverton is a drag. (donald can report on bicycling
to beaverton.)

i gotta say, counting the SUVs in their parking lot, that everything
cool about TechShop existing is somewhat undermined by the idea
that it'll require so much driving. but that's just me, grinding my
usual axe.

however, i know that i can take the PCC extension course at Grant
High School to get access to a better-equipped metal shop than
TechShop's, closer to my home. So that gear alone is not going
to get me in there. Gimme laser cutters, 3d printers, C&C machines,
and then we'll talk. =)
