Thanks to Dr. T for the Mouser parts. Fast service with a beer chaser,
who can complain? But I got home with my goodies, thinking I'd replace
the blown fuse in my multimeter and be able to measure current again,
and what do I see? There's a spare fuse in there next to the battery.
Damn, I've been measuring the voltage across shunt resistors for two
weeks (or using the 10A scale) and I could'a had a mA! Oh well, live &
learn.

Thanks for the FREE! goodies, too. Does anybody know what the 0-5000hr
gizmo is? My newly-resurrected meter shows 1.3M in one direction and
915K in the other (it's polarized, somehow). Maybe I'll hook it up to a
battery and see what happens... Looking closer, there's a small clear
segment at the bottom of the capillary tube, and a copper electrode.
Plus, copper solutions are blue. Does the tube get bluer, or whiter? I
guess time will tell. About 5000 hours' worth of time.

d.
