so, the great Encoder Madness of  2009 still has slots available.

after everything was said and done the mouser pn # 652-PEC11-4215F-S24
encoders came to a total of 71 needing to be ordered. I looked at the
datasheet and wanted some too. I took the plunge and ordered a full
qty 100 which brought the price down to 84 cents. I will have the
remaining 19 encoders at the next meeting for 84 cents a piece.
