[dorkbotpdx-blabber] avrdude ... I'm so afraid to mess up my fuses

Friends -- I see in the avrdude documentation that it reads the fuse
bits three times to make sure you haven't messed them us. Messing up
the fuse bits is the fastest way I know to ruin your afternoon. I've
learned to be extremely cautious with fuse bits using the reasonably
friendly atmel tools. I'm now trying to switch to avrdude on the mac.
I love that I can write a shell script to load my cybords. But I can't
figure out how to burn fuses without wasting parts. Any suggestions?
I'm trying to make long term phase measurements of the ac line. I'd
like to run my tiny45s off of a more stable clock. That means
programming fuses. I'm so afraid. Help. -- Ward
