I just noticed that a once rare and sought after TI SN76477N
synth/videogame soundfx chip is back on the market in case anyone is
interested.

The new datasheet has a lot of nice minimal examples for noisemaking
stuff.
Aside from being a pretty easy to use synth on a chip, it's the core
of some popular synth diy projects:

It's been used in some products like John Blacet's DSC synth module.
(disco'd due to no chip avail.)

Anyway I figured I'd share as there might be some on this list
interested grabbing some of these things while they're available and
$9 instead of however much they were on ebay for years. I don't know
if it's back in production or if BCmicro just found a bunch.
If anyone else wants to order some let me know and we can split
shipping.
