I love this.  I believe I was just recently lamenting about this problem 
-- that it's hard for people who have concepts but aren't purely working 
artists (eg. us with day jobs) to poop out completed works out within 
the 2-4 weeks that seems typical for calls for works.

I love this idea of planning far enough out to let people prepare, and 
even iterate on an implementation.  An early summer call for 
participation would give about 4 months lead time...which I think is GREAT!
