Hi Thomas,

One way I avoid the "you are an alien" looks is by keeping it super
simple: "Hi, I saw some of your terrific work and was wondering whether
you'd like to give a short, very casual presentation to a bunch of
people interested in art and technology. Would Wednesday the xyz work
for you?"

We've had photographers, sculptors, dancers, all sorts of people give
very interesting presentations. Everyone's using electricity in one way
or another, even if some of the work doesn't exactly fit the "people
doing strange things with electricity" motto.

Anyway, from scanning this list it sure seems like there's a lot of
great stuff going on there already, regardless of who else gets involved!

best,
douglas
