[dorkbotpdx-blabber] MakerFaire in Portland?

Don't we kinda do that twice a month at a bar anyway ;)

But Yeah, I think it'd be a blast to get an area set up to a maker
faire-esque sort of thing. Makezine started off small. In fact I
remember when Phillip Torrone had his website setup with all the
projects he did... Back in the early 2000's. He got intrest up, and took
it to the next level... There's intrest that's for sure.

I actually bought the domain diypdx.org at one point hoping to do
something with it centered around the idea of something like MakerFaire
but more Portland-oriented. I figure with the number of craft-types,
DIYers, Dorkbots, Makers, Hackers, etc. in Portland, it would be easy to
make it successful. But as it turns out, I'm really good at
overcommiting myself, so...

Still, I'd love to help push something in the right direction.
