[dorkbotpdx-blabber] Good news on openSUSE

I got the openSUSE "native" Pure Data working this morning! I am
running openSUSE 11.1 64 bit, so I installed the 64-bit version from
the "Packman" repository. For those of you who aren't openSUSE
fanatics, "Packman" is where most of the high-end audio gizmos, like
Pure Data, csound and strasheela live. There appear to be some
packaging errors in the 64-bit package -- it doesn't work. But the
32-bit package (i586) does work and I was able to replay everything I
captured yesterday at the workshop on Windows.
I'm going to go ahead and attempt to build pd-extended from source on
this machine in 32-bit mode, just so I can see what I'm missing. :)
Meanwhile, I actually have a GitHub project and a web page for all of
this, if anyone is interested in attempting to pick my brain on the
subject. The web page is still under construction, but I'll probably
start uploading stuff next week.

I've never met a happy clam. In fact, most of them were pretty steamed.
