Greetings
I'm trying to implement readanysf~ (http://aug.ment.org/readanysf/index.php),
an external for puredata for reading multiple sound file formats. I'm
relatively new to PD and to Linux, so please bear with me.
I'm trying to compile one of the prerequisites to readanysf~, gmerlin, on
Juanty Ubuntu using a shell script, "buildall.sh". When I do so, lots of
text is displayed in the terminal for a long time until it reaches the
following error:
configure: error: "libxml2 not found"
After that, it prints "Compilation in gmerlin failed" and exits. When I
search for libxml2 in Synaptic Package Manager, I find that this version is
already installed: 2.6.32.dfsg-5ubuntu4 (jaunty). If I reinstall it and try
again to run buildall.sh I get the same error.
Does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Regards
Charlie
